“Ame no Ato” – After the Rain Mug

When a sudden rainstorm paints the earth and sky in deep indigo, it leaves behind trails — glistening, wild, and fleeting. Ame no Ato, or “After the Rain,” captures that moment in clay. A cascade of deep cobalt glaze spills over soft honey-beige stoneware like rainfall frozen mid-pour.

The surface features subtle honeycomb-like texturing under the glaze, a quiet nod to natural patterns. The sharply angled handle is wrapped in rustic jute cord, balancing form and function with a traditional touch. The high-temperature firing seals in both durability and expressive glaze variation, ensuring no two mugs are ever the same.

Every sip from this vessel feels like a return to stillness after the storm — grounding, rich, and quiet.
